Certificate granted to individuals who complete the bow hunter education program, which teaches the fundamentals of bow hunting as well as ethics, hunter responsibility, and safety. The purpose of the program is to reduce the potential for accidents; to reduce the potential for conflict between hunters, landowners, and other resource users; and to promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of the environment and natural resources. Wisconsin has adopted the National Bowhunter Education Foundation's (NBEF) International Bowhunter Education Program, which is acknowledged and accepted worldwide.
