Detailed Information for : Residential Care Apartment Complex Certification

Description:	Independent apartment units (assisted living apartments), accepting individuals who pay for services themselves or through Medicare payments, in which the following services are provided: room and board, up to 28 hours per week of supportive care, personal care, and nursing services.

Duration:	Does not expire.
Fees:	$350 annual fee plus $6 per apartment annually. There is an additional $350 fee to convert a portion of a Community Based Residential Facility or Nursing Home into a Residential Care Apartment Complex.
Prerequisites:	Successful Caregiver Background Check for Adult Programs. You may also contact the Division of Quality Assurance Assisted Living Regional Director (ALRD) in the Regional Office.
