Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic

General Description

An individual who is specially trained in emergency cardiac, trauma, and other lifesaving or emergency procedures in a training program or course of instruction and who is examined and licensed as an emergency medical technician paramedic.

Type	License Type Description
Original	Initial license for an individual who is specially trained in emergency cardiac, trauma, and other lifesaving or emergency procedures at the paramedic level.
Renewal	A license to retain status as an EMT-paramedic.
Training	A permit to allow a student enrolled in an EMT-paramedic course to participate in the field experience necessary to complete EMT-paramedic training.
